Our Story
The first Sea Bright public school was opened in 1874 and was torn down 17 years later after much of Sea Bright's downtown was destroyed in the "Great Fire in Sea Bright" in June of 1891. In 1892, a new 4-story, ornate schoolhouse opened on River Street. The building lasted for over 125 years, but the school closed its doors in 1978 and sat empty and neglected for 40 years until it was finally demolished in September of 2019. The current ownership is honoring the history of the Sea Bright School by naming this new residential community, which sits on the exact site, after the schoolhouse.
